Successful test of paragliding completed in Bihadi Parbat

A successful test of paragliding has been undertaken at Bihadi Rural Municipality of Parbat District. Its successful test was done on Saturday at Bihadi Rural Municipality-5, Lungreg Lamachaur hill which has a huge opportunity for paragliding. Bihadi is a beautiful place located at a distance of about 100 kilometres from Pokhara, the capital of Gandaki province, which is known as the tourist destination of Nepal.

Some 4 paragliding test flights took off from Lungreng Lamachaur in Ranipani Rural Municipality-5, with the first test flight taking off from Lungreng Lamachaur and landing at Imichaur sports ground in the district.

Test flights of paragliding was carried out under the leadership of Bibek Rana and Gole Lama, who has been conducting paragliding in Sarangkot, Pokhara flew paragliding in the sky of Vihadi village.

“Bihadi Rural municipality has enormous possibilities for paragliding”, Bibek said, adding that he chose Lungreng Lamachaur and Deurali Danda for paragliding in the course of exploring proper sites for the same.

Bihadi Rural Municipality people are excited about the successful operation of paragliding. They are hopeful that the new assurance would bring development.

A successful paragliding flight has been conducted on Lamachaur hill of Bihadi village municipality-5. The paragliding flight was organized on the occasion of a village tourism promotion program organized by Geptang Geptang Community Homestay in Uram.Sher Bahadur Thapa, director of Geptang Community Homestay, said that the test flight was conducted with the aim of guiding Bihadi on the path of prosperity by promoting the tourism sector through paragliding. 

This Bihadi Rural Municipality has huge possibilities in tourism, because of its natural beauty and also rich in its cultural and religious diversity. There are various religious, cultural and tourist sites in this village municipality Lungreng Kalika Temple, Gwarling Debi Than, Deurali Temple, Sibpuri Dham, Chhapakot Temple, Gauradebi Temple of Uram, Bacheswar Temple, Shaligram Sheela, the world's largest Shaligram on the banks of Kaligandaki is various tourist sites of religious and historical significance.  If the local government carefully analyzed investment int his sector will be more profitable. There is no doubt that this village municipality, which is considered to be rich in natural resources and art and culture will become a model village municipality of Nepal if it makes proper use of natural resources and means available.

However, the Government should focus on the development of its basic infrastructure like transportation, communication accommodations to serve more tourists. Chairman of Bihadi Village Municipality Kamal Prasad Bhusal expressed his commitment to conducting regular paragliding in the coming fiscal year by allocating budget for further geographical study and development of infrastructure.
